For this assignment, you will revise your proposal that you wrotefor Psy 341. If you completed a project during a previous semester, and are now reworking it for this semester, then revise the followingsections of your final paper.

You revised proposal should include the following sections /components:

A) Title page: See your APA manual for guidelines (format, runninghead, etc.). Your title should have 10 words max, and the variablesof interest should be clear.

B) Introduction: an up-to-date review of the topic and thedevelopment and clear statement of experimental hypotheses --remember, all variables must be clearly defined!! The logic for yourhypotheses must be clearly stated!

C) Method: separate sections for participants, design, materials, and procedure. At this point, the methods will be in future tense, and then you will change to past tense for the final paper. In yourdesign section, make sure all variables, their levels, and theiroperational definitions are clear; also include any controlprocedures. Remember, enough detail must be given in this section sothat someone could replicate your study.

D) Reference page: include a minimum of eight references -- atleast 5 must be recent journal articles. The final references may bespecialized texts or Internet references. General texts (e.g. yourtextbook) and dictionaries / encyclopedias will not count towardrequired number of references. All of the references need to be inofficial APA format.

E) Appendices: Include copies of your consent and debriefing (ifnecessary) forms. Also include copies of any other demographicsheets, surveys, or questionnaires that you might give participants. If you are using a script to control for experimenter effects acrossgroups, then also include a copy of that.

When you are making your revisions, address feedback given on yourpaper, and update any methodological changes that you have decided onduring the IRB writing process.

The revised proposal will be due at the beginning of class onMonday, February 13th. When you submit your revision, also turn in acopy of your previous paper with the comments.
